  I went in for shellac removal on my nails and the tech literally peeled them off along with the top layer of my real nail and the length of most of them. I asked her not to do that and to soak them and she told me it wouldn't make a difference. I told her I've had this done a hundred times and I know it helps and I could have tore them off myself at home with less damage. I left after she did one hand. I wish I could put pictures of my nails on here because you would be disgusted with the damage she did to them!
